Plenary Group, a global public infrastructure consultancy, has appointed AMP Capital's Julie-Anne Mizzi to lead its funds management activity in Australia and New Zealand.
Mizzi spent nearly 17 years with AMP Capital in a variety of senior roles, including global co-head of social care. She also held a seat on the multi-assets group investment committee.
Plenary CEO David Lamming welcomed Mizzi to the organisation. "Our expansion into funds management is a natural evolution in the development and growth of our infrastructure activities.
"We couldn't be more pleased to have Julie-Anne join us to lead this arm of our business - there is nobody better placed to lead a boutique funds management business focused on the infrastructure space."
In her new role, Mizzi will establish and grow the boutique funds management's business across the region.
"It is a logical step in the growth and maturity of Plenary as Australia's leading infrastructure investor, developer and manager, as we'll look to become a full-service diversified infrastructure business.
"In Julie-Anne we have one of the most experienced executives in the industry, and someone who will complement and enhance our existing capabilities as well as make a significant contribution to our corporate culture as we embark on this exciting new venture for our business," said Lamming.
Plenary has a portfolio of 71 assets under management worth more than $44 billion AUD across Australia, Canada, and the US.
Mizzi will commence in her new role with Plenary in September.
