MetLife appoints Head of Retail Sales

MetLife has appointed Matt Lippiatt to the newly-created role of head of retail sales, as part of the development of the firm's retail life insurance offer which will launch to advisers and brokers in 2018.

Lippiatt most recently spent 11 years with AMP, where he was responsible for managing licensee relationships and growing retail insurance and platform sales until May 2017.

In welcoming him to MetLife, chief distribution officer, Chesne Stafford, said: "Matt has a great combination of experience working across many areas of life insurance, including group, corporate and retail, and with a strong wealth background. He is in tune with the needs and wants of advisers and their clients and will be instrumental not only in helping us to deliver our initial retail offer next year, but in working closely with our adviser partners to continuously identify and drive future enhancements."
