Mercer Super has appointed Nicole Mathias-Browne to drive new member acquisition following the merger with BT Super.

She joins the newly-merged $63 billion fund as a chief market officer from AMP, where she did a ten-month stint.

Before that, she was at Colonial First State for ten years, most recently as head of marketing, leading a team of 60 marketing professionals across brand, digital marketing, campaigns, content, marketing operations and communications.

Previously she held senior marketing roles at MLC, ANZ and ING Australia.

In the new role, Mathias-Browne will deliver more personalised experiences to Mercer Super's clients and members via strategic marketing and digital channels.

She will also partner with the superannuation fund's employer clients and financial advisers to help them meet more member needs and support their business growth ambitions.

Thirdly, her job is to drive new member acquisition while also driving further member engagement for the asset owner's existing 850,000 members.

Mercer Super chief executive Tim Barber said Mathias-Browne's appointment signalled an increased focus on digital experience, brand and member engagement as the superannuation fund further cements itself as a leading player.

"Nicole brings a strong consumer marketing background to Mercer Super and a proven track record in growing and leading high-performing teams through dynamic environments.

"I'm excited by the perspectives she will bring to Mercer Super as we look to deliver even more connected, personalised and digitised experiences to our 850,000 members."
