Member representative departs First State Super board

First State Super has confirmed the departure of member representative director, Lisa Fitzpatrick, as part of a board renewal that includes the replacement of three retiring (by rotation) directors.

Fitzpatrick, a director of First State Super since 2013, was appointed by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation. She has been replaced by Pip Carew.

The two other retiring directors are employer representatives Trevor Carr, nominated by Leading Age Services Australia, who has been replaced by Glenn Bunney, and Gary Thomas, nominated by the Victorian Healthcare Association, who has been replaced by Tom Symondson.

In paying tribute to the departees, First State Super chair, Neil Cochrane, said: "Trevor, Lisa and Gary have provided an unwavering commitment and service to our fund and our members in overseeing our governance process and contributing to the important work of the board. I have appreciated their support and efforts to ensure our members best interests have been met."
