AustralianSuper has appointed Daniel Walton as a member director of its board, effective 15 December 2016.
Walton was appointed to the $100 billion industry fund's board by ACTU Super Shareholding Pty Ltd.
In November 2016, Walton was elected to the position of national secretary of the Australian Workers' Union (AWU), having previously held the positions of assistant national secretary, national vice president and national campaigns and organising coordinator. He is also currently a director of Chifley Financial Services and The McKell Institute.
He succeeds former member director, Scott McDine, who left the fund on 17 November 2016.
