Melda Donnelly retires from UniSuper

Melda Donnelly, founder of the Centre for Investor Education, has stepped down as an independent director on the UniSuper board after three years' service. She also sat on UniSuper's investment committee and audit, risk and compliance committee.

Donnelly was formerly CEO of Queensland Investment Corporation, deputy managing director of ANZ Funds Management, managing director of ANZ Trustees, chair of VFMC and chair of Plum Financial Services Pty Ltd. She currently serves as a director with several organisations, including Treasury Group Ltd, Orion Asset Management and Aurora Investment Management Pty Ltd.

A UniSuper spokesperson confirmed to Industry Moves that the fund is in the process of appointing a new independent director and envisage making an announcement in late September/early October.
