Maxcap strengthens leadership team

The commercial real estate financier has hired Zak Fennell as investment director for Victoria.

Based in Melbourne, Fennel focus on relationship management of existing asset owner and developer clients and origination and execution of real estate transactions.

Reporting to MaxCap's Victoria state director Johnny Woodhouse he will help develop new opportunities to grow the Victorian business.

Fennell joins from Bank of Melbourne where he was a relationship director in the lender's corporate property team. He was responsible for driving the debt business with private residential development groups operating in the middle market and oversaw the end-to-end life cycle of transactions from origination, deal structuring, and settlement.

Fennell has more than a decade of industry experience in investment and development finance.

Before the Bank of Melbourne, he spent eight years in several within ANZ's corporate and Commercial Property team in Melbourne.

Fennell said he was "delighted" to be joining the team to support the expansion of its Victorian business.
