MaxCap hires Rob Hattersley

The real estate investment manager continues to expand having recruited an industry veteran to lead its capital team.

As group head of capital, Hattersley will be responsible for raising capital for MaxCap's existing funds and mandates and for new debt and equity products.

He joins from AMP Capital, where he was investment chief for its real estate business.

Before that, he was group chief investment officer at Lendlease.

During his 21 years with the property giant he managed capital relationships, raised equity and reduced product and investor risk to the group and its joint venture partners.

Earlier in his career, Hattersley worked for Mirvac for more than a decade as a director of investments.

Commenting on the appointment, MaxCap executive chair Wayne Lasky pointed to the recruit's exemplary track record and focus on delivering lasting value for investor clients.

Recently, the commercial property financier hired Justin Pearce as the state director for Western Australia, Zak Fennell as investment director for Victoria and Adam Cook as a director of direct investment.
