MaxCap expands direct investment team

Commercial real estate investor MaxCap Group has announced that Adam Cook has joined its direct investment team as director.

In the new role, Cook is tasked with originating joint venture deals and overseeing transactions.

Cook brings more than 17 years of real estate investment and development experience across multiple asset classes to the role.

He joins from Wingate Group, where he was a director.

Previously, he worked for Australian Unity as a general manager commercial in its retirement village and residential aged care division.

"His background and extensive experience complements our existing team and will add considerable value for our partners and stakeholders," said MaxCap's head of direct investment Simon Hullet.

"We are committed to investing in our platform to support our strategic growth plans and continue to build our capability and capacity to capitalise on this."

MaxCap has added four new investment analysts in the last two months, including Jason Pham, James Adamowic, Hugh McDonald, Ravi Reddy, and Peter Diacoumis.

Meanwhile, David Hoang has come aboard as manager of financial planning and analysis and Andrew Hobbs will serve as associate valuations.

Another recruit, Anna Jin joins from Media Super's operations team.

Since the start of this financial year, staff numbers across the board have risen 20 per cent.
