Real estate investment manager MaxCap Group  continues to increase its headcount by adding three new staffers to its team.

Former Vanguard sales executive Haley Devine joins from Wingate, while Josh Periera and Scott Robertson arrived from National Australia Bank.

Devine will take on the role of capital wealth management director spearheading the firm's effort to increase discretionary funds under management.

At Vanguard, she covered broking, private wealth and research houses.

Before that, she spent 14 years in London working for Citi, Goldman Sachs and HSBC in various sales and client management roles.

She reports to the group head of capital, Rob Hattersley, who landed at the investment manager two years ago.

These latest appointments are part of a significant team build-out since the industry veteran Rob Hattersley was recruited as group head of capital.

The capital team has more than doubled since his arrival.

Meantime, Josh Periera has joined as investment director.

He will focus on relationship management and real estate transactions.

Periera spent the last 14 years at NAB, specialising in commercial real estate, construction and healthcare.

Before his banking career, he spent four years at KPMG in audit and advisory.

The recruit will report to the Victoria state investment director, Johnny Woodhouse.

For his part, Scott Robertson has been appointed associate director of construction risk.

Based in Sydney, he will deliver specialised construction advisory, approval, and management services throughout the entire life cycle of real estate loans.

Robertson also joins from NAB where he spent nine years in construction risk, credit, and Investment.

He will report to MaxCap's head of construction risk, Royston Toh.

Commenting on the appointments, MaxCap executive chairman Wayne Lasky said: "We are thrilled to have Haley, Josh and Scott join the MaxCap team. Their calibre and experience will strengthen our wealth management, investment and risk teams respectively."
