MaxCap adds investment director

Matthew Smith has joined MaxCap Group as investment director.

Smith joins from Westpac Commercial Banking, where he spent the last 15 years. Beginning as a graduate in 2006, Smith moved into business acquisition support and, later, relationship management. Since 2015, he has been the relationship director for property, with responsibility for delivering Westpac Commercial Banking in the Sydney metro region.

In his new role, Smith will be responsible for debt origination, execution, and relationship management for MaxCap in New South Wales. He's joined by Leyla Sacks who has been named associate director of private capital and Joe Vincent as director of direct investment.
