Magellan expands the role of chair

Magellan Financial Group has announced the appointment of Dr Brett Cairns as executive chair, effective 1 January 2015. Dr Cairns has previously served on the boards of Magellan Financial Group and Magellan Asset Management since 2007. He will also be appointed chair of the Group's main operating subsidiary Magellan Asset Management and will join the management committee, the investment committee and the risk and compliance committee.
