Pinnacle Investment Management has confirmed to Industry Moves that Patrick Hodgens has accepted employment with a new Pinnacle affiliate with a high conviction equities focus.
Hodgens was most recently the head of fundamental equities at Macquarie Investment Management, a role he left earlier in the week.
Hodgens spent 28 years with Macquarie, and in his most recent role managed approximately $3 billion in assets and a team of 40 investment staff located across Australia and Asia. Previously, he held roles with Citibank and State Street.
Following Hodgens' departure, Macquarie has confirmed the appointment of Scot Thompson and Benjamin Leung as co-heads of the Australian and systematic equities business in Australia, reporting directly to John Leonard, Macquarie Investment Management's global head of equities.
More details of Pinnacle's new affiliate will be announced following the expiration of Hodgens' restraint period.
