Macquarie promotes new head of Macquarie Asset Management

Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) has appointed Ben Way as its new chief executive officer.

Way takes over from Martin Stanley, who is leaving after more than 16 years.

Way has held several roles with Macquarie during his more than 14 years with the organisation including senior managing director and CEO of Macquarie Group Asia. He was also MAM's head of global alternatives.

Before joining Macquarie, Way held leadership roles at Taiwan Broadband Communications and Bain & Company.

Macquarie also made changes to its banking division, with CEO Mary Reemst set to retire. She will be replaced by Stuart Green.
