Macquarie Life exec appointed National Sales Manager at Zurich Life

Macquarie Life's Dave Evans has been appointed national sales manager, retail risk at Zurich, in anticipation of Macquarie Life joining Zurich later this year.

In the new role, Evans will assume responsibility for driving sales across Zurich's life insurance product range, which will expand significantly for Zurich with the inclusion of Macquarie Life's innovative product portfolio. He will report to head of distribution Kristine Brooks.

Evans joined Macquarie in 2010 and has held roles including national sales manager, retail risk, Macquarie Life, and most recently, as the Queensland State Manager, Wealth Management, covering both Wrap and Risk. Prior to joining Macquarie, Dave held senior business development roles at both TAL and MLC.

Fellow new recruit and Macquarie Life exec Daniel Longden will also join Zurich as head of strategy & propositions.

Longden and Evans are due to join Zurich on 1 October 2016, the date currently being targeted to finalise the Macquarie Life acquisition.
