MA Financial promotes sales staff

MA Financial Group has promoted two of its distribution staff to executive director.

Adam Trimboli and James McCurley have been with the global alternative asset manager as distribution directors for three and five years respectively.

Trimboli joined from Vanguard where he worked as a key accounts manager where he supported private wealth businesses, family offices, and financial advisors.

Before that, he spent four years at BT as a senior business development manager and team leader.

Trimboli also held roles at Geoffrey Nathan and American Express.

For his part, McCurley's new role will see him focus specifically on research and strategic accounts.

He arrived from Macquarie Group in 2018.

Separately, the asset manager's share price fell 17 per cent on Thursday after it posted a 32 per cent drop in earnings to $41.6 million due to lower corporate activity and heavy investment.

However, gross fund inflows of $1.94 billion were up 27 per cent on the previous year.

Assets under management rose 18 per cent to $9.2 billion.
