Lonsec Strategic Relationship Manager joins Pengana

Pengana Capital Group, a diversified fund manager specialising in listed equities, has announced the appointment of Dan McAleer as regional business development manager (BDM), effective 5 March 2018.

Based in Melbourne, and with fellow new BDM recruit Broc McCauley, McCauley will be responsible for servicing and supporting dealer groups, researchers, platforms and advisers in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania.

McAleer joins Pengana from Lonsec Research, where he was most recently a strategic relationship manager, responsible for client relationship management, distribution, development and marketing of Lonsec Research services to the funds management, wealth management and industry super fund sectors. Prior to this, he was a BDM at Lonsec.

Before joining Lonsec, he worked for IRESS as both product manager - savings and retirement, and as relationship manager - superannuation products.

Commenting on both McAleer and McCauley's appointments, Pengana's director of distribution, Damian Crowley, said: "We're very pleased to welcome such experienced relationship managers to our Distribution team. With 50 per cent of the investment market across Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania, our new team members will play a significant role in managing these relationships."

McAleer and McCauley replace former regional distribution manager, Guy Callaghan, who departed the firm in January 2018.
