Lonsec hires from IOOF and HUB24

Former IOOF and HUB24 manager, Marc Hraiki has joined Lonsec in the newly created role of executive director adviser sales and service.

The appointment follows last year's purchase of Implemented Portfolios - a specialist-managed discretionary account provider to high-net-worth individuals and affluent retail clients.

Hraiki joins from Franklin Templeton, where he managed key client relationships as sales director.

Before that, Hraiki oversaw sales teams at numerous advice firms, including HUB24 and IOOF.

At HUB 24, he was state manager for New South Wales and the ACT and national manager of advice relationships at IOOF.

Earlier, he was the account & business development manager of equity markets at the ASX.

Previous employers also include Skandia and BT Financial Group.

Lonsec chief executive Michael Wright said Hraiki brings considerable experience and expertise in leading and building teams and positioning them for exponential growth.

"Our distribution team and our managed account offering have both expanded, and we are excited about Marc joining the business to help take them to the next level," he said.

Hraiki expressed his excitement about joining Lonsec and the team, many of whom he had already engaged with as business partners in previous roles.

"Considering the current landscape, it's no surprise that we are seeing advisers increasingly seek greater efficiency to scale and grow their firms and I am delighted to be joining a company that can provide the tools to help them achieve this," he said.

Earlier this month, Lonsec announced the departure of chief investment officer and executive director Lukasz de Pourbaix.
