Long-standing Perpetual exec to join BTIM

BT Investment Management (BTIM) has announced the appointment of Mark de Courcey as head of trading & investment operations.

De Courcey will join BTIM from Perpetual Investments where he is the GM, investment operations with responsibility for the end to end investment process covering the Trading and Investment Operations teams.

Before joining Perpetual, he was an account manager at Thomson Financial Software Solutions and prior to that was a senior manager, portfolio operations at Rothschild Australia Asset Management. He has also worked for Qantas as treasury support manager and for Advance Bank Australia in various roles.

Commenting on his appointment, chief operating officer, BTIM Australia, Hayden King, said: "I am thrilled to welcome Mark to the team. With extensive experience across operational processes, systems and risk management frameworks, Mark has demonstrated his leadership skills by building and guiding high performing teams to continually deliver operational capacity and control through the planning and implementation of key projects."

An official commencement date for de Courcey is yet to be announced.
