La Trobe Financial has announced the retirement of Brian Ford from the role of senior vice president and chief operating officer after 35 years' service, effective July 2017.
Ford joined the firm in May 1982 as a senior accountant, assumed the role of chief financial controller four years later, then was appointed as group general manager in 1994 and finally, chief operating officer in 2000.
Commenting on his departure, Greg O'Neill, president and CEO of La Trobe Financial said: "Brian has left an astonishing legacy that will not go unforgotten and we wish him the very best with his next chapter."
He is to be succeeded by chief legal officer, Rowan Donohue, who has been with the firm since 2009.
