Long-serving Portfolio Manager departs PIMCO

Julian Foxall has confirmed to Industry Moves his departure from PIMCO following 15 years as a portfolio manager with the firm, effective March 2017.

Prior to joining PIMCO in 2001, he held various roles with Allianz Asset Management, Westpac Investment Management and Ord Minnett.

Foxall told Industry Moves that following a few months of travelling he is now considering his next move which could include non-executive or consultant roles.

"In stepping back from the day to day management of fixed interest portfolios, I would like to advise super funds, investment committees, regulatory bodies on managing their market risks and the consequences of their actions on their clients, investors and markets."

"The superannuation system is maturing to be more balanced between accumulation and provision of income in retirement, and I am able to advise on finding solutions for investors and on framing government policy for this important evolution."
