First State Super has confirmed the departure of employer representative director, Trevor Carr, as part of a board renewal that includes the replacement of three retiring (by rotation) directors.
Carr, a director of First State Super since 2011 (and its predecessor Health Super from 2007), was appointed by Leading Age Services Australia. He has been replaced by Glenn Bunney.
The two other retiring directors are member representative Lisa Fitzpatrick, who has been replaced by Pip Carew, nominated by Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation and employer representative Gary Thomas, who has been replaced by Tom Symondson, nominated by the Victorian Healthcare Association.
In paying tribute to the departees, First State Super chair, Neil Cochrane, said: "Trevor, Lisa and Gary have provided an unwavering commitment and service to our fund and our members in overseeing our governance process and contributing to the important work of the board. I have appreciated their support and efforts to ensure our members best interests have been met."
