Michelle Blicavs has confirmed to Industry Moves her departure from the Local Government Super (LGS) board, where she was an employer representative, effective 9 March 2018.
Blicavs, who first joined the board in March 2013, was previously a Wollongong councillor and the finance and operations manager at the International Association for Public Participation Australasia. She has over 15 years' senior management experience in the service and not-for-profit sectors.
From 2010 until 2014, she also sat on the board of Christian Super.
Commenting on her departure, Blicavs said to Industry Moves: "It's been a fabulous 5 years with LGS, where we achieved growth for members to $11bn in FUM as well as recognition for our responsible investment portfolio. It was a privilege to Chair the Risk Committee and the Member Services Committee for most of that time and I hope I left the Fund in a stronger position."
LGS is currently sourcing a replacement for Blicavs.
