Local Government Super (LGS) has announced the appointment of Bruce Miller as chair of its board, effective 11 September 2017.

He replaces Katherine O'Regan who is no longer acting as a director on behalf of Local Government NSW. O'Regan was appointed as the fund's first female chair in July 2017.

Miller was previously chair of $10 b fund LGS for a two-year term (2013-2015). Previously, he has been a councillor at Cowra Shire Council for 26 years, including 14 years as mayor. He is also a director and chair of StateCover Mutual Limited.

Commenting on Miller's re-appointment, LGS CEO, David Smith, said: "As the incoming CEO, I am delighted to have the opportunity to work closely with Mr Miller and the LGS Board in growing the Fund, providing value for money for members, and continuing our commitment to sustainable and responsible investment."
