Local Government Super appoints new Director to board

Local Government Super (LGS) has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Karen McKeown as a director on its board, effective 10 April 2018.

Currently a councillor, and former mayor, of Penrith City Council, McKeown has worked within the finance industry for over 20 years.

She is also a director of Local Government NSW and Penrith Performing and Visual Arts.

Commenting on her appointment, LGS chair, Bruce Miller, said: "We welcome Karen to the Board; she brings extensive leadership and organisational experience to the Board, and a real passion for helping women boost their super and improve their lives in retirement."

She has replaced Lindsay Brown, who first joined the LGS board in September 2017.
