Link Group appoints super product lead

Link Group has hired a chief product officer to lead the development and design of its retirement and superannuation solutions.

Reporting directly to the chief executive, Jonathan Shaw will lead the design of products and solutions to meet the evolving needs of the retirement market.

Shaw will be responsible for product and platform solutions across the global RSS business, "driving scalable processes and innovation throughout the development cycle and ensuring products are benchmarked to exceed market equivalents."

He has over 25 years of experience creating, developing and implementing digital products, software and technology solutions.

He joins from Moneysoft - owned by the Link Group - but has also held senior roles at DeployPartners, IBM Australia and Micromuse.

Shaw said he had a great passion for solutions and technology and the limitless opportunities they present to improve lives.

"This new role will allow me to build, refine and improve our product strategy and design from beginning to end to better deliver for our clients, their members, employers and advisers," he said.

"Link Group has a long history of outstanding fintech solutions, and I am excited to continue to lead in this space."

Dee McGrath, the chief executive of Link's RSS business added that the appointment brings strong digital and product experience that leverages technology and innovation to deliver outcomes for our clients, their members and stakeholders.
