Link Group appoints CEO for restructured advice business

Link Group has announced the appointment of Duncan McPherson as CEO of Link Advice, following a restructure of the group's advice business that will see Link Advice and Adviser Network combined into one business.

McPherson, who has been CEO of Adviser Network since September 2015, joined Link Group as part of its acquisition of Adviser Network in June 2017 and, according to the group, will now lead the restructured business through its integration and next phase of growth.

Commenting on his new role, McPherson said: "I am delighted to have been appointed as CEO Link Advice. We have two great businesses with complementary strengths. By combining our teams we'll be able to capture their collective experience and knowledge to help more Australians access affordable advice."

McPherson succeeds current Link Advice CEO, Ross Bowden who, after seven years with the group, will depart at the end of June 2018 following a period of transition.
