Lifespan expands compliance and technical team

Lifespan Financial Planning has named Anna Mirzoyan to the newly-created role of compliance and technical officer. She joins from MLC Wealth where she was a technical analyst.

In a statement to Financial Standard, Lifespan says that Mirzoyan will look after compliance and advice materials for the privately-owned dealer group, as well as present at PD days and conferences. The materials she will work across include SOA templates, technical articles, and policies and procedures.

Lifespan CEO Eugene Ardino said the new role comes from the growing complexity of demands on licensees. "The compliance regime for planners has become much more demanding in the wake of the Hayne Royal Commission. Licensees have a duty to their authorised representatives to stay on top of the changes, and the only way to do that is to strengthen the compliance function," he said.
