LGS appoints Head of Advice

Local Government Super (LGS) has appointed Andrew Dunkerley to the role of head of advice.

Dunkerley has over 20 years' experience in financial services, most recently as head of financial planning for NGS Super. Prior to this, he held senior roles at Industry Fund Services.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO of LGS, Peter Lambert, said: "Andrew has experience in growing the financial planning business within industry funds while at the same time improving the effectiveness of financial planners, and we expect that he will be able to draw on this success at LGS."

He added: "Andrew will be developing and enhancing multiple advice channels, including telephone, web-based advice and advice in the workplace to complement LGS' core face-to-face services."

Dunkerley said: "Good financial advice changes lives, and I thank LGS for this opportunity to develop their range of financial planning services so that more of their members can access quality advice."
