Date: September 2020
Position: Director

Queensland-based LGIAsuper has appointed a local government specialist to its board.

Greg Hallam joins the fund as a director after spending more than 25 years as the CEO of the Local Government Association of Queensland.

"Greg understands local government better than, arguably, anyone else in Queensland and we are confident that our members will benefit from his extensive and variety experience," said LGIAsuper chair John Smith.

Hallam has held senior executive positions at the Federal Treasury, the National Office of Local Government, and the Esk Shire and Townsville City councils. As a director, Hallam has previously been on the board of the Queensland Treasury Corporation.

"His proven commitment to Queenslanders and his results-driven approach mean that he is a natural cultural fit for us, as our purpose and values are similarly member-driven and results-focused," said Smith.

Hallem replaces outgoing director Matthew Bourke.
