Legg Mason's Head of Sales departs for new role with Heitman

Global real estate investment management firm, Heitman LLC (Heitman), has announced the appointment of Beau Titchkosky as managing director, client service & marketing for Australia and New Zealand, effective August 2017.

In this role, Titchkosky will work with Heitman's global sales leader, James Gruver, to lead the firm's client service and marketing activities in the region.

Titchkosky, who has spent the past nine years as head of sales at Legg Mason, has more than 20 years' experience in the areas of business development, client service, marketing and product management, including previous roles with Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and AVIVA.

Commenting on his appointment, Gruver said: "We are excited that Beau is joining Heitman to serve our existing clients and consultants in Australia and to lead our efforts to broaden the communities' understanding of Heitman's robust offerings in unlisted property, listed property, and private real estate debt investment strategies globally."

Legg Mason's head of Australia, Andy Sowerby, added: "Whilst we are sorry to see him leave, we do recognise his own ambitions and, as such, wish him every success in his new role."

Sowerby confirmed that the search for Titchkosky's replacement is currently underway and that the firm is also looking to hire another sales manager to join the recently opened Sydney office.
