KPMG has appointed Richard Watts as a director in its wealth management and superannuation advisory business.

Richard joins from Industry Super Australia, where he was senior policy advisor and legal counsel. He provided policy leadership and legal advice to the boards and C-suite executives at many of Australia's largest superannuation funds and financial institutions. He also played a key role in industry consultation relating to major structural reform in the superannuation industry.

At KPMG he will work with clients to address strategic and operational opportunities, including matters relating to governance, operational risk, strategic planning, retirement product offerings, member engagement and regulatory compliance.

Joining Watts as a fellow director is AustralianSuper program director, David Bardsley.
