K2 Asset Management names head of research

K2 Asset Management has named experienced investments expert George Boubouras as head of research, a new role that will help K2 achieve their future growth ambitions.

Boubouras was most recently a director and the chief investment officer for global fund manager Salter Brothers. During his 25 years in finance, Boubouras was also the managing director and CIO for Contango Asset Management, an investment strategist at Macquarie Group, an economist at Westpac, the NSW Treasury, and SBC (now UBS).

Of the appointment, K2 chair and CEO Campbell Neal said, "George brings with him a wealth of experience from both an economic and business background and we are delighted to have the calibre of George join the team".

Boubouras added, "I am excited to join such a long running and successsful funds management team. I look forward to contributing to the K2 Asset Management journey."
