K2 Asset Management nabs Magellan exec

K2 Asset Management has confirmed the appointment of Damian Craven as the firm's head of retail distribution, effective 16 January 2017.

Craven joins from Magellan Financial Group where he was a key accounts director, a role he held from July 2010.

The firm also confirmed the appointment of Alistair Dunne, who joined as head of wholesale distribution.

Commenting on the appointments, K2's managing director, Campbell Neal, said: "I am delighted that we have employed two very experienced distribution specialists in Alistair and Damian to drive a new and focused distribution strategy. We intend to realign our distribution efforts to better service our existing and prospective clients as we look to significantly grow our business."
