JANA hires tech head from NYSE

Investment consultant JANA has appointed Ann-Mary Rajanayagam as head of technology and operations.

Rajanayagam has spent the last decade overseas with JP Morgan and the New York Stock Exchange in business analyst and program management roles. She began her career as a business analyst for equities with Colonial First State, BT, and NAB.

JANA COO Ashleigh Crittle said that Rajanayagam's experiences developing tools, data, and systems with some of the world's most dynamic financial institutions will help JANA drive deeper value and efficiencies for its clients. "We are hugely excited to have her on board to lead JANA's next phase in its digital transformation agenda. Her expertise and insight will prove invaluable as we continue to grow our digital capabilities to help deliver the best outcomes for our clients."

In her new role, Rajanayagam will focus on governance, process, and development of a digital strategy for the firm's vendor management and business efficiency needs.

Rajanayagam said that she's excited to be back in Australia after several years in the US. "JANA is renowned internationally for its institutional investment capabilities. I am looking forward to leading the uplift in JANA's technology capabilities to deliver operational efficiencies and enhanced client outcomes."
