Jameson Capital, the boutique alternative assets specialist, has appointed Rupert Blunden as investment chief.

Blunden joins from private markets and investment firm Wingate, where he spent the past six years focusing on private debt and equity and structured finance for real estate.

Before that, he spent six years at Westpac Group as a corporate banker focusing on structured debt solutions for private property developers and investors.

Joining Jameson Capital co-founders Nick Browne and Jonathan Webster, Blunden will be responsible for originating, structuring, and executing real estate investments across a capital stack - from mezzanine debt, hybrid securities, preferred equity, and joint ventures.

He will also be involved in further expanding relationships with strong clients and high-quality assets.

Blunden said few in the market focus solely on alternative assets, capital markets, and real estate, combined.

"I look forward to working with Nick and Jonathan and the many opportunities for me to learn from their unique skillset, while also drawing on my experience across debt capital markets, working with real estate investors and developers," he added.

Jameson Capital co-founder and director Nick Browne added: "We are excited to welcome Rupert to Jameson Capital as our first investment director. Along with his strong experience in commercial and property finance, his ability to identify opportunistic deals and execute across property transactions and investments will be an asset to the firm."
