Jacobi hires former QIC Strategist as Head of Quant Modelling

Silicon-valley based Jacobi Strategies has announced the appointment of David Priest as head of quantitative modelling in the firm's Brisbane office, effective November 2017.

Prior to joining Jacobi, Priest was a quantitative strategist at QIC, involved in multi-asset risk modelling and portfolio construction, alternative asset research and manager selection. Before this, he was a senior quantitative analyst for Stanwell Corporation.

Commenting on his appointment, Jacobi CEO, Tony Mackenzie, said: "We are excited to have David join the Jacobi team in Brisbane, further strengthening our deep roots in institutional investment management. Jacobi provides the infrastructure for designing and scaling multi-asset portfolios, and David's unique knowledge of the investment process has the ability to bring enormous additional value to our clients."
