Superannuation fund ISPT has appointed logistics heavyweight Luke Briscoe to the leadership team.

In the role of group executive of investor solutions, Briscoe will help implement ISPT's corporate strategy and ensure operations jibe with investor needs.

He joins from AMP Capital, where he served for six years leading the firm's end-to-end office and logistics business.

Before that, he oversaw the strategic asset management services across Charter Hall's $6.5 billion office portfolio.

Earlier, he worked for the GPT Group and Colliers International.

"I look forward to working closely with the ISPT team and partners to shape strategy implementation, deliver market-focused solutions and ensure we're meeting investors' current and future needs," Briscoe said.

Meantime, ISPT has added two new fund managers to the retail property trust, promoting from within.

Kate Mathewson has been promoted to IRAPT's fund manager, overseeing investment strategy, capital deployment, investor engagement, and growth.

Mathewson joined ISPT in 2016 as national portfolio manager, retail services.

Further, Simon Baird has been appointed deputy fund manager, a newly established position due to the fund's increasing scale.

He joined IRAPT as an analyst in 2018.

"The IRAPT Fund will continue to focus on its growth strategy in the neighborhood good and services retail space, responding to the needs of our local communities," said Mathewson.

"Both myself and Simon look forward to continuing our close working relationship with IRAPT Investors to ensure we deliver strong, stable returns for the fund."
