Vice President named for iShares by BlackRock

BlackRock Australia has announced the amalgamation of its institutional and retail distribution teams in Australia, along with news of the appointment of Paula Gigler to the role of vice president for iShares by BlackRock.

Gigler joins from Vanguard where she was a broker distribution manager and is one of six new hires at BlackRock Australia.

Her new role with iShares will cover private banks and brokers.

Commenting on the new hires, newly appointed head of client business, Jason Collins said: "We are delighted to welcome new colleagues to our growing client business and look forward to making yet more appointments over coming months."
