Iress expands superannuation expertise

Iress has hired former Media Super business development manager James Sinclair as its new head of growth and partnerships, superannuation.

Sinclair will also join the financial services leadership team.

He recently worked as a senior sales executive at Fidelity National Information Services and was the relationship manager for Insignia Financial and MLC Life Insurance.

Before that, he was a new business sales manager at SS&C Technologies where he delivered cloud-based enterprise technology solutions to prospective clients across the superannuation, wealth management, asset management and Insurance industries.

Sinclair earlier worked as a sales associate for Mercer's super and investments business.

Abigail Sweep, the chief growth & transformation officer for superannuation welcomed Sinclair on board saying his experience in enterprise software sales and superannuation, combined with his broad relationships in the market means he is well positioned to support our business strategy and move to a SaaS model.

"With a background in supporting superannuation and wealth executives with technology that drives improved member outcomes, I'm delighted to be joining Iress' superannuation team," Sinclair added.

The appointment follows a major restructure in April aimed at enhancing the group's focus on financial advice, trading and market data, and superannuation.

Recently, Iress rolled out a new digital advice tool used by Hostplus and Industry Fund Services.

Also, the technology company has mandates with Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation and ESS Super.
