IOOF updates exec committee, names first distribution chief

IOOF has promoted Mark Oliver to their first chief distribution officer. Oliver joined the organisation in early 2016 as general manager of distribution.

A statement from the company says the promotion reflects the increased scale and scope of IOOF's product and client businesses following the completion of ANZ's pension and investments business.

Oliver will also be responsible for group marketing following the departure of Candice Spence.

Commenting on the change, IOOF CEO, Renato Mota, said, "Mark's new role reflects the importance of and opportunities from the continued development of efficient and engaging solutions for advisers, investors, members and employers."

Prior to joining IOOF, Oliver spent six years with BlackRock as a managing director and head of strategic partnerships. He was also head of institutional distribution at Credit Suisse Asset Management and a senior client manager at State Street.
