Investec appoints Head of Financial Sponsors Transaction Group

Uyi Ighodaro has re-joined Investec Australia to lead the newly created Financial Sponsors Transaction Group, a partnership between Investec's Corporate Advisory and Corporate & Acquisition Finance divisions. In the new role, Ighodaro will focus on the origination of transactions involving private equity firms active in Australia across advisory, financing and hedging.

Prior to re-joining Investec, Ighodaro was a senior investment banker at Barclays in Australia where he was Head of the Financial Sponsors Group and has been involved in advisory and financings for a number of international and domestic private equity firms.

Investec has also appointed Chris Stefanovski as managing director of the firm's corporate advisory team.
