Investec appoints new Managing Director

Investec Australia has further expanded its corporate advisory team with the appointment of Anthony Lazzoppina as a managing director.

Lazzoppina will join recent senior Investec hires Christopher Stefanovski and Uyi Ighodaro, and will work alongside Ben Smith who heads up the corporate advisory team.

Lazzoppina was previously co-head of industrials at Credit Suisse, and prior to that held the roles of head of M&A and head of industrials for Barclays Capital Investment Banking team.

Commenting on the appointment, Investec Australia CEO Milton Samios said: "We are delighted to welcome Anthony to further strengthen our origination capabilities in our Corporate Advisory business.
