Invesco hires BlackRock veteran as senior portfolio manager

Independent investment management firm, Invesco, has announced the appointment of Andre Roberts as a senior portfolio manager in the Invesco Quantitative Strategies (IQS) group, effective January 2018.

Roberts joins from IFM Investors, where he was a portfolio manager. Prior to this, he spent 18 years as a quantitative portfolio manager at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM) and then BlackRock, following the 2006 acquisition of MLIM.

At Invesco he is joined in the IQS group by two new senior portfolio managers, Neil Lahy and Ritchard Longmire, and portfolio manager, Richard 'CJ' Tsai.

All four of the new hires have previously spent 10 years working together at BlackRock, managing quantitative Australian equity portfolios.
