AMP appoints Interim Chair

AMP Limited has announced that independent director John Palmer will become interim chair of the AMP Limited board since Simon McKeon's decision to retire after the May AGM.

Palmer had also planned to retire after the May AGM but will now postpone his retirement until a new chair has been appointed.

Palmer was appointed to the board in in July 2007 and joined the AMP Capital Holdings Limited board audit and risk committee in May 2014. He retired from the AMP Life board in June 2014 after 10 years of service.
