Integrity Life names chief executive

MLC Life Insurance chief life insurance officer Sean McCormack is set to leave the organisation after more than a decade.

He's set to take on the chief executive role at Integrity Life.

"[McCormack] is exceptionally well regarded in the industry with experience that spans the lifecycle and value chain of the life insurance market," said a spokesperson for Integrity Life. "He has a strong belief in the benefit of life insurance advice and the importance of partnerships.

"He has a specific interest in enabling life insurance advice through technology which [makes] him uniquely suited to Integrity, a life insurer that has recognised the benefits of a digital offering when providing a more transparent and adviser-focused experience."

McCormack joined MLC Life in 2009 as head of the MLC Life Insurance product. He held general manager and strategy roles during his tenure and was named chief operating officer in 2015. He became chief retail officer in 2018 and was acting chief executive officer for several months before being named chief of life insurance in July.

Before moving to MLC Life, McCormack was a financial services manager with Plum Financial Services, then a part of MLC.

Integrity Life chair Eric Dodd said the company is delighted to have McCormack on board. "He has an exceptional track record and is incredibly well regarded by industry participants, across the spectrum of super funds, corporate clients, licensees, advisers and their various associations, as well as our regulators," he said.
