Integrity Life hires CTO

Integrity Life has hired Ashish Khurana as head of technology, joining from Saxo Bank.

Khurana was chief technology officer at the European lender for almost four years.

As CTO at Saxo, he was responsible for enterprise architecture, service management, data platforms, and infrastructure services.

Before that, he was head of strategy - service integration and management Service at Westpac and global head of compute and production management at Macquarie Group.

Earlier in his career, he worked at Westpac as chief engineer - service management, BMC Software as a senior solutions architect, and CSC as global technical lead - remote resolution services

"Ashish brings enormous experience and pedigree to our organisation and will be responsible for continuing the development of our contemporary technology capability. Modern technology is a vital component of our value proposition for our partners and customers," said Integrity Life chief executive Sean McCormack.

Commenting on his new role, Khurana said Integrity Life was established to transform the life insurance industry in Australia. "We plan to use the latest, state of the art technology capabilities to make Integrity the most efficient and effective insurance services provider in the industry," he said.

The recruit said the insurer's platform was born in the cloud, and he planned to build on that heritage to provide a world-class experience for the firm's partners and customers.

The appointment completes the overhaul of Integrity's leadership team following the previous appointment of Russell Hannah as general manager of sales marketing and customer experience, Gary Bailison as general manager of product and proposition, Andrew Katon as chief financial officer and head actuary, and Sally Pal as head of human resources.
