Innova appoints research committee chair

Model portfolio manager Innova Asset Management has appointed Michael Aked to chair its research committee. Aked is also a senior investment strategist at Scientific Beta.

"While evidence-backed, risk-focused portfolio management is well-established across the US and Europe, the combined knowledge of academia and practitioners in the quantitative field has yet to be fully realised in Australia," Aked said.

"I have been working on joint research with Innova for the past two years and I am excited about working closer with the Innova research team allowing these insights to be brought to market. Managing director and co-chief investment officer at Innova,  Dan Miles, said he was pleased Aked would be joining the committee, and emphasized the rarity of professionals with his exceptional quantitative and academic calibre.
