Mine Wealth + Wellbeing (Mine) has announced the appointment of Deirdre Wroth as an independent director, replacing John Crocker, effective April 2017.

Wroth has 28 years' experience as a banking and wealth management executive across funds management, insurance, banking, financial advice and innovation. Her previous roles include head of Citi's retail banking and wealth management business, head of private wealth advisory & specialised investments at NAB and national distribution roles with Macquarie Bank.

Commenting on Wroth's appointment - as well as the appointment of Elaine Herlihy, who joined as a director of Mine Wealth and Wellbeing Services Pty Ltd in February 2017 - Mine chair, Grahame Kelly, said: "Further diversification of the skill of our Board members will complement the progress we have made as an organisation over the past year. The diversity and depth of these appointments will further support our purpose of delivering an exceptional retirement for our valued existing and future members."

Wroth will also sit on the $10 billion industry fund's investment committee.
