Independent Director departs LGIAsuper board

John Wilson has stepped down as an independent board director of Queensland based super fund, LGIAsuper, effective February 2018, after more than four years in the role.

Wilson, who has 25 years' experience in the investment management industry, both in Australia and overseas, previously spent 17 years at PIMCO and departed as the firm's Australian CEO in May 2013.

LGIAsuper is currently looking to replace Wilson on the board and expects to announce his successor in the coming months.
